This is where you most certainly want to have some type of social media scheduling tool. A scheduling tool is going to allow you to post something to your social media without having to literally be on your phone or computer posting it.

Once you have the post created, you can schedule when you want it to be shared, down to the minute! A scheduling tool makes it really easy to manage your social media presence because you can carve out two or three hours to make content for your social media for the next few weeks and then get it all scheduled. Once it’s scheduled, you can sit back and engage with your audience without having to worry about what’s coming next.

There are a number of different scheduling platforms, but before you decide on which one to choose, you’ll first need to determine which social media platforms you want to prioritize in your business. It’s no secret that social media can get overwhelming when you try to use all platforms, so get clear about ONE platform that excites you the most, and that will translate to the platform you’ll want to use for your business. Remember, if you’re using a platform that doesn’t excite you or interest you at the very least, then you're not going to be motivated to create and post content!

Next, you’ll want to determine where your target client is. The target clients on Instagram are very different from the target clients on LinkedIn. Determining which platform your target client is most likely on will help you prioritize which platform you want to go deep in when it comes to social media scheduling.

Once you’ve decided on your platform (s), you can decide on which scheduler will work best for you. Most of the platforms have their own scheduling tool, but not all  do. There are also scheduling tools that service all or most of the platforms. Below are a few examples:

  • TweetDeck (Twitter only)

  • Facebook Creator Studio (Facebook & Instagram only)

  • Hootsuite (multiple platforms)

  • Buffer (multiple platforms)

  • MeetEdgar (multiple platforms)

  • Later (multiple platforms)

  • Canva (This is actually a tool that helps you create designs and images, but it also has a scheduling component.

Again, first you want to determine the platform that you want to prioritize then you’ll be able to determine which of those tools will work best for you.
